Two new movies from the wonderful team that is Mycho in one go - big thanks to Mj Dixon for this!
Bannister Doll Heist continues the story that started with The Haunting of Molly Bannister, which depicted a family haunted by evil. This time however, the spooky goings on are mixed in with a crime story involving a mob of robbers.
Sent in to retrieve a box from a local police station the criminals have no idea that they are headed for terror, both as a result of the heist going wrong AND because of the contents of that box...
It turns out the box contains the doll that wrecked havoc previously when it was in the claws of the equally bad youngest daughter of the Bannister family, Molly.
This kicks of a chain of events where survival doesn't look like much of an option and I cant think of a scarier deterrent to theft!
As usual MJ Dixon and co provides a tight, eventful movie which has some eerie scares and effortlessly melds horror with action. I really enjoyed the character Rey played by Angelique Taylor, she was kick arse! Add to that the creepiest of mannequins which was expertly handled with practical effects
A fun return to the story of Molly Bannister heightened by not treading the same path and trying something new. But that is what Mycho does so welI, they always mix things up across their universe sequel or not. I also love a 'robbery gone wrong' horror film and for me there isn't enough of them out there.
Onto Cleaver 3: Maximum Cleaveage next!
